TEXAS BOARD DESIGNATES TWO MORE SURVEYORS IN TRAINING AT STANGER SURVEYING

STANGER SURVEYING congratulates Ross Andress & Ben Crawford for passing the Texas S.I.T. Exam.

Many people do not realize that obtaining a Surveyor's license in the state of Texas requires the same time commitment as becoming a doctor. Each state board sets their own specifications for becoming a Registered Professional Land Surveyor and the journey to becoming a Texas RPLS is one of the most difficult in the nation.

Before a candidate can qualify to take the 8 hour S.I.T. exam they must have received a Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying or obtained a degree that included 32 semester hours of survey related courses and one year of experience.

The next step for Andress & Crawford requires the S.I.T.'s to receive two years of experience and training under the supervision of a Texas RPLS.  Working at Stanger Surveying affords them a huge advantage because the Stanger team includes a pool of 12 registered surveyors that can work side by side with them on a daily basis. They receive training on high tech equipment and have the opportunity to hone their skills on different types of survey projects.

Once this apprenticeship is completed the candidate has the arduous task of filling out the State's comprehensive application before even being considered for the eight hour Professional Land Surveying exam, (which is only offered twice a year).

We could not be more proud of their accomplishments and look forward to continued success.
